Office 365 Tips from MIcrosoft: Becoming a PowerPoint Pro
Microsoft PowerPoint makes it easy to create, collaborate, and present your ideas in dynamic, visually compelling ways. PowerPoint can seem daunting for some but with new features in Office 365, you can become a slide-making expert and save time doing it. Whether improving your writing, formatting or visuals, PowerPoint can help you achieve more and be more inclusive with your audience. Check out these 5 features for making a better PowerPoint:
1. PowerPoint Ideas and Designer: For those not graphically inclined, in just a few clicks, the font sizing, layout, and image sizing are done for you. No need to fiddle with formatting – you can make a presentation look crisp and polished much faster.
2. Insert embedded 3D models into slides: If you have custom animated 3D models, you can insert them into your slides. There is also a library of already created animated models, ranging from animals to scientific objects to food to just about anything you can think of. It’s as simple as clicking Insert, selecting the 3D model and watching the animation play in presentation mode.
3. Reuse existing slides in new presentations: PowerPoint helps you repurpose content from both your hard drive and content others have created to make faster and more consistent content. Just click the Reuse Slides button on the Home tab and search for a topic to show existing PowerPoint files on your computer. From there you can browse the recommended files that you have access to, view the slides in each presentation, and insert them into your presentation.
4. See what changed in your PowerPoint presentation while you were away: This is especially helpful when you’re collaborating with multiple authors, as it tells you what changed in your deck since the last time you had it open. No more comparing slides side-by-side or scrolling through the whole deck to see if anything’s changed.
5.Present more inclusively with live captions & subtitles: A new feature, powered by Microsoft AI, enables presenters to reach and engage all audiences with live presentation captions and subtitles that automatically appear in real-time. With live captions & subtitles in PowerPoint, you can ensure your presentations are understood by everyone, across languages and hearing access needs. This feature supports presenters across 12 spoken languages and display on-screen captions or subtitles in one of 60+ languages.
